Welcome to the home page of the Dandie Dinmont Terrier Club of Canada.
Our club is dedicated to the preservation, protection and promotion of one of the world’s oldest terrier breeds.
On this website you will discover the fascinating history of the first named Terrier – the Dandie Dinmont. We offer information
about the Dandie Dinmont breed, so you can determine if this is the right dog for you.
You can learn about the DDTCC, its history and its philosophies. For members of the DDTCC, we offer a member’s section.
We invite you to attend our various events, and meet the Dandie Dinmont for yourself. Stare into those beautiful eyes,
and see what the poet meant when he wrote “A Dandie looks at you as if he’s forgotten more than you ever knew”.
DDTCC SPECIALTY SHOW - SEPTEMBER 6 2014
The DDTCC is celebrating the 200th anniversary of Sir Walter Scott’s Guy Mannering, the book responsible for naming the Dandie Dinmont Terrier with a very special Specialty show, a show for Dandie Dinmonts only.
It will be held at PawsWay, at Harbourfront, Toronto.
The judge is Mr Geoff Corish, of England. Mr Corish judged Best in Show at Crufts (UK) dog show last year.
We welcome one and all to this extraordinary biennial event. There is no admission charge at PawsWay (245 Queens Quay West).
